Before working on this project, their way of delivering the services to their clients were monthly reports. The generation of these reports was partially automated, but still, they required manual work to get them ready for their clients to consume. Therefore, they were looking for a way to provide the same quality of service, but in an automatic way—through a web application.

PlayEstate, as they decided to name the product, is an online platform that showcases in-depth statistical data of the Norwegian real-estate market.

After hearing and understanding their requirements, we knew this was a project for us.

we went through every detail of Hawii’s business, what role the app played in their business, and the list of requirements

many contractors try to rush the project kick-off for a fear of losing the contract. This leads in most cases to overlooking the details and setting unclear expectations

That's the perfect recipe for getting both parties to end up feeling resentful about working together: the client feels that the contractor doesn't understand the project; and meanwhile, the contractor feels like the client had "unrealistic expectations".

We never had this sort of issue working together.

Once that was done, we kicked off the design phase.

The next step in the process was designing the app.

As soon as the designs were approved, we kicked off the development process.

For this phase, we created a plan to make sure that we stayed on track to deliver before each deadline.

This approach, combined with the discovery session and the proactivity of Hawii made the process extremely smooth.

Once the product was reviewed and approved, we outlined a strategy to slowly bring in their existing customers to try out the Beta version of the website.

During the first months of the app being released, we provided support to help Hawii manage the infrastructure and user onboarding flow, as well as address any issues that might have appeared.

The final product was a fast, performant website, that fulfils all the client requirements, and prepares them to show up to the competitive SaaS market with a top-level product.

The search page allows the user to search for any cities or areas within Norway, to get results only for that area.

We implemented real time suggestions using Socket.IO.

The results page shows a high level overview of the statistics for the selected areas.

It also allows the user to select the date range and type of properties, and allows the user to download most of the data as an Excel file for further analysis.

Finally, the user can navigate to a third page where he/she can see further details about the areas they selected.

This third page page included interactive maps, charts, tables and key metrics.

The work done so far is intended to be the first iteration of a product that’s intended to grow in features and users.

Tim is a music teacher that has made his life’s mission to educate and help people develop the audiation skills required to be a proficient musician. If you’ve ever tried to learn music, you already know how frustrating that is.

He had some technical expertise, but he wanted to speed up the process, so he was looking for someone that could help him along the way:

After a few months of work, the result was a production-grade application, that has gone to be a success in terms of revenue and overall user feedback.

Let’s take a look now at how the application looked like.

The overall application used a modified version of the Chakra UI system, to allow for quick iteration of the designs.

The home screen allows the user to get an overall view of the application and what to expect.

The playground implements dynamic sound generation using real instrument samples, and allows the user to play around, and apply all the concepts learned by the course.

The lessons allow the user to get in-depth context of the knowledge of the course.

They are graded by level of difficulty, and are related to the Challenges. This provides a gamified experience, where the user is required to complete certain tasks before being allowed to access more difficult content.

The lessons are generated dynamically with MDX, which allows Tim to update the content without needing to update the code that produces the page.

Finally, the challenges allow the user to gradually test their skills. They are unlocked as they successfully complete easier challenges.

Just as the playground, the challenges implement real, high-quality audio samples.
